POSITIVE REFLECTION

If I reflect on my Amal’s journey, I will come across many things that have transformed me into a better version of myself. I have become a person who is at peace with self. Out of the many instances, if I have to pick only one, I will go with “Jeopardy Answer Sheet” activity. During the activity, in case of most of the groups, team leaders were answering the questions. Similarly, our group leader answered the question of 200 points in the first round. During the second and the last round, almost all the groups were selecting the questions of 500 points. When the turn of our circle was about to come, all of a sudden, my Circle-Leader and the teammates asked me to answer a 500-point question. Initially, I was very nervous and said that I wouldn’t be able to answer that properly. However, they kept insisting on and motivating me and ultimately, I gave up. When I answered that question, not only moderators but many fellows also appreciated the points which I discussed and the way I linked them up with Amal’s past courses. This experience filled me with confidence and has eliminated the fear of public speaking which was once present within me.

I would especially like to thank my team leader as without her pushing me to go for this, I would not have done that. I would also like to appreciate all the Amal fellows and moderators for exhibiting positive energy since it fills the other person with confidence and positivity. If I had to go back and do this activity differently, I would have willingly stepped forward for answering. But it is said that every experience in life teaches something. This experience has taught me the arts of public speaking and self-confidence and has proven extremely fruitful for me in the interviews.
